LEARNING TARGET:
​Students will learn about some of the most prominent themes in the ceramic arts. Then they will be asked to apply their understanding of these themes to create a dinner set based on a chosen theme.

  • I have found and sketched out a variety of pottery designs based on themes 
  • I have selected a theme for my dinner set and have created a mind map of ideas
  • I sketched a project proposal for my dinner set
  • I have created a theme based dinner set using a variety of techniques
  • I have glazed my dinner set
  • I have reflected on my creative process

In this unit we are going to create a sculptural mug based on a theme that you choose or a theme given to you randomly
