TEAPOT

LEARNING TARGET:
In this unit, we will analyze the ways our environment effects our mood and ideas. We will look at the ways artists influence the ideas and beliefs of viewers by creating empathy for the natural world. Finally, we will create our own artwork that expresses our personal aesthetics, feelings and thoughts about nature.

SUCCESS CRITERIA:
  • I have analyzed artwork that aims to shape and impact individuals ideas and beliefs about nature
  • I can recognize and describe my personal aesthetic and empathetic responses to the natural world
  • I can demonstrate understanding of the function and form of teapots by sketching.  
  • I have curated a collection of photographs and artworks to impact the viewer’s empathetic responses to nature
  • I can use various brainstorming techniques and use feedback to sketch, plan, and revise ideas for my artwork
  • I have created an artwork that expresses my personal aesthetics, feelings, and thoughts about nature
