SOCIAL CONTRACT

The Ceramics Studio is a unique space unlike any other place on campus and has its own set of challenges.

How many of you get tired of your teachers nagging you and telling you what to do?

This is YOUR classroom! So, you are going to decide how we treat each other. I will not be the policewoman.
We need to help each other so that we work as a team and make this classroom a safe place for all of us to have fun and make cool stuff!

A SOCIAL CONTRACT IS AN AGREEMENT ON HOW WE SHOULD BEHAVE IN CLASS!

Social contracts determine our behavior in almost everything we do....
​driving our car, standing in lines, going shopping, eating!!

SOME ADDITIONAL THINGS TO THINK ABOUT:
What if you have homework that you need to get done from another class?
How does the above impact other students?
What if you need to use the restroom when Ms. Gray is introducing the next project?
What if you get done with your project early?
What if your project breaks?
How does listening to Ms. Gray show respect for her and the class?
What if your not feeling good a particular day, what should we do?

*We will get very comfortable with each other in this class... What ever you say, check your surroundings and make sure that what you are saying is not disrespectful*

1) If it is called, it counts
2) It's not a toy, so don't joke about it
3) Someone can call a foul for someone else
4) Requires two put ups.
