Ms. Gray is a high school ceramics teacher at Tustin High School in Tustin, California. She has been teaching for 8 years and currently serves as the VAPA department instructional coach. Her classroom emphasizes fun and creativity for all students and emphasis is placed on how the arts influences our everyday lives. She has been making and selling ceramics for over 20 years and has personally experienced the therapeutic benefits of making. Her passion for making has resulted in several art shows and selling her work in craft booths, on school campuses, and currently in local coffee shops in Long Beach, California. In addition to ceramics she loves going on adventures with her pup swoon and exploring all that nature has to offer. Living near the ocean has a big influence on her artwork. 05/2015 to Present: Tustin High School
- Teacher of Ceramics grades 9-12. Developed program to include AP 3-D and designed curriculum. Current Department Chair.
- Infant Aquatics Specialist. Instructed students from 6 months to Adults in swimming skills that lead to water safety. Trained new instructors on swimming methods and child psychology.
- Lifeguard/Swim Instructor. Supervised and trained 50+ lifeguards and swim instructors based on Red Cross standards. Earned promotion through work ethic, exceptional teaching techniques, and safety focused mentality.
- Art Teacher. Administered after-school art lessons to groups of 20+ elementary students that increased creativity and knowledge of basic art principles.
- Art Teacher. Developed and implemented lessons in 2-D design administered to grades 9-12.
- Ceramic Instructor. Taught beginning and intermediate wheel throwing to adults.
