BEAUTY

ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS:
Why is beauty important?
What makes something objectively or subjectively beautiful?
How do artists show appreciation for the beauty of the mundane?
How do artists transform the mundane into something beautiful?
Why do people think nature is beautiful?


RATIONALE:
​Beauty is a concept that is debated and discussed around the world. There are so many different places where we can find beauty. By participating in this unit students will be encouraged to find beauty in obvious and not so obvious places. Beauty is all around us and can be subjective. The study of aesthetics is an important part of all of our lives.
