ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS:
How is struggle a part of life?
What types of struggles exist in the world?
How do others struggle?
How and why do artists make artwork/songs about struggles?
How do we make artworks about struggle?

What are some strategies to deal with struggles?


RATIONALE:
​Struggle is a part of life. One of the main purposes of art is to express these struggles so that viewers or listeners can empathize with the artist. It also helps the artist cope with the struggles. With this unit students will understand this important role that art has and why it is important in society
