EMOTION

LEARNING TARGET:
In this unit we will investigate the ways artists use their own personal experiences, memories, or stories to create artworks about human emotions and experiences. We will then create our own project that reflects our own emotional experiences.

SUCCESS CRITERIA
  • I understand how and why artists convey emotions through their figurative sculptures​
  • I can sculpt a realistic mouth, nose, and eye with clay
  • I can reflect on my own personal experiences, memories, or stories to brainstorm an emotion I want to portray in my artwork
  • I can sketch and describe the artwork I wish to create​​
  • I am able to create an artwork that effectively communicates an emotion I have had due to a personal experience, memory, or story.​
  • I can provide constructive feedback about a peer's artwork.
