WHY?
Beauty is a concept that is debated and discussed around the world. There are so many different places where we can find beauty. By participating in this unit students will be encouraged to find beauty in obvious and not so obvious places. Beauty is all around us and can be subjective. The study of aesthetics is an important part of all of our lives.
ASSIGNMENT
Create a dinner set using slump molding and slab building. All pieces must be unified and be focused on celebrating the beauty in the mundane. Must have high levels of craftsmanship. You may glaze your piece using any of the techniques you have learned so far.
