Every year the art department at Tustin High School, including the ceramic program, participate in the Old Town Tustin Art Walk.

Presented by the City of Tustin Parks and Recreation Department, Tustin Preservation Conservancy, Tustin Area Council for Fine Arts, and the Tustin Library, the Old Town Art Walk brings local merchants, restaurants, and visitors of all ages together to celebrate fine art. It is a one-day art exhibition and sale of fine art along the historic streets of El Camino Real and Main Street. Free to the public, the event will feature local artists, wine tasting, a photography contest display, a high school art exhibit, live entertainment, and docent-led bus tours of Historic Old Town Tustin.

The Annual National K-12 Ceramic Exhibition is the premier juried ceramic competition for Kindergarten through Grade 12 (K-12) students in the United States. Designed to showcase the best K12 ceramic work made in the country, the exhibition takes place in a different city each year in conjunction with the annual conference of The National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA). The NCECA conference is the preeminent ceramic event in the US annually, gathering professionals from universities, colleges, museums, art galleries and the ceramic arts world to a host city to view exhibitions, demonstrations, talks and other ceramic events. For that week, the host city is the world capital of ceramics.

ANNUAL HIGH SCHOOL CERAMIC EXHIBITION

The American Museum of Ceramic Art was founded in 2003, in Pomona, California. The mission of the museum is to champion the art, history, creation, and technology of ceramics through exhibitions, collections, outreach, and studio programming.

STUDENT ART INVITATIONAL
EARLY APRIL

The Annual Student Art Invitational showcases and rewards the artistic talents of Tustin middle and high public and private school students within the Tustin Unified School District.  Students create works in a variety of visual media that are put on display for the community to enjoy.
The art invitational is a juried contest in which the student art are judged to select first, second and third place, honorable mention winners in a variety of categories.  Student artists receive cash awards, and their respective art teachers receive money for the future purchase of art supplies.
The art invitational exhibit is held in April at the Tustin Library on Main Street.  TACFA also sponsors a reception to recognize the winners and their teachers.

The OC Fair & Event Center invites students and their families to go “Full S.T.E.A.M. Ahead” for three days of competitions, exhibits and activities all designed to explore the fun of S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math.) Exciting workshops, build-your-own scarecrow contest, scavenger hunts, hands-on activities and more will fuel imaginations. Orange County students, grades pre-Kindergarten to high school, can showcase their talents in a variety of competitions for woodworking, digital media, gardening, photography and more.

MID APRIL

Imagination Celebration 2017, presented by Arts Orange County and Orange County Department of Education, is an annual countywide arts festival that celebrates children’s creativity through visual arts exhibits and family-friendly events featuring hands-on workshops and live performances.
